To Have Control Over Your Life, You Better Don’t Waste Your Time

Your Time is Very Precious

We all have 24 hours (1,440 minutes) in a day. Some people use each and every moment of their life very judiciously, while others (a large majority) don’t care much about their, and others’, time. People who use their time judiciously and focus on getting maximum from each moment of their life, keep themselves busy. They give required time to all important areas of their life, not just to their work. If you look at, and analyze, the life of highly successful people from various domains – whether that is business, sports, film industry, academics, politics etc. – you will realize that all of them highly value their time. By valuing their time, and by managing it well, they become very successful in their life, however the number of such people is very small. For them, each moment of their life is very precious.

On the other hand, majority of people don’t use their time very judiciously. They waste a lot of their time by engaging in unnecessary and unproductive activities, like spending too much time on social media, watching television and other entertainment videos, gossiping and talking about other people and things that may not be very critical for their work and progress etc. They don’t devote as much time as required to their work and other meaningful activities. However, if you ask them for some help, most of them pretend as if they are very busy.

It is said that time is money. If you use your time judiciously, you really can save, and earn, a lot of money. Even more importantly, if you carefully use your time, and don’t waste it on unimportant things, then you can become very successful in your life. You can become a lot happier as well.

But if you do not use your time judiciously, then chances of you achieving something substantial in your life will be very low. Your chances of success will also decrease. And when you are not very successful, then others (especially your boss) will have a disproportionate control over your time and life. To a large extent, they will decide what you will do, when you will do that and for how long you will do. They will decide when you can and cannot go on leave. In simple words, if you do not use your time judiciously then others will have more control over your life than you.

So, to keep your life under your control, and to become highly effective and successful, you better value each and every moment of your life. Don’t waste your time on unnecessary and unproductive things/activities. You are not going to gain anything by wasting your time.

How Well You Use Your Time Will Decide How Far You Can Go in Life

If you use your time very judiciously and value each and every moment of your life, then life will reward you for that. When you value your time, work hard and channelize your energy in the right direction, then your chances of becoming successful will be very high. By devoting a lot of time to your work, you can become expert in the area in which you work. When you become an expert, you will be in high demand. People will approach you for your services and help. You can earn a lot money, and respect, because of the expertise that you have developed. Then your time will become even a lot more valuable. So, you can become highly successful, and famous, by judiciously using your time.

While meticulously planning how to best use your time, you should not devote all, or most, of your time to work only. You should also give time to other important areas of your life. Devote your time to other important areas/activities of your life, such as family, physical fitness, social work, religion, spiritual growth etc. Identify areas of your life that are very important for you. Then decide how much time you would like to give to all activities that are critical for you.

To conclude, you need to regularly analyze where are you giving your time. Ask yourself: Am I using my time judiciously or am I unnecessarily wasting my time on social media, in gossiping about other persons and in talking about things that are not under my control and that I cannot change?

Regularly analyze where are you devoting your time and energy. If you will use your time judiciously and channelize your energy in the right direction, you can become highly successful in your life. Otherwise, you will continue to live an ordinary life, like majority of the people. Then others will have more control over your time and life. By using your time judiciously, you can have control over your time and life. And you can become a lot more successful and happier.
