Why Ignoring Others’ Viewpoint is Important at Times?

In our professional as well as personal life, we frequently come across many ‘so-called experts or well-wishers.’ If you share any of the issues or challenges that you are facing with them, these so-called well-wishers will start giving you a lot of suggestions (their Gyan), you even without asking for that.

Even though, while sharing your issue or problem, you may not have been seeking their advice, these ‘so-called experts’ start telling you what is the right thing to do or what is that you should not do. Though their own life may be in total mess, they are more than willing most of time to share their ‘Gyan’ with others.

Most of the time people share their issues or problems because they want somebody ‘just to listen to them.’ They don’t intend to get solutions from others.

In addition to sharing their Gyan about the world, these ‘so-called experts’ also share their biased views (though from their perspective they are totally objective) about you.

Such people express their views so strongly that at times you start doubting yourself. You start asking yourself: Am I thinking in the right direction? Am I doing the right thing?

Those views many times may be very disheartening for you and can even make you doubt your own capabilities. They can totally shake your confidence.

You Need to be More Cautious

Please understand that not all views expressed about you or other persons or suggestions given to you are worthy of your time and attention.

Your time and life are very precious, don’t waste these in giving too much importance to the views of others, especially to people who may not be very important in your life.

Please remember that people who really care about you, will not try to impose their views or expectations on you. They will not try to give you unsolicited advice.

Rather they will try to help you to discover ‘Yourself’, and in the process to help you to find the solutions of the issues or problems you are facing.

So, please understand that not every person (especially so-called experts or well-wishers) deserve your time and attention.

Try to develop clarity about when to ignore others’ views and when, and to whom, to listen carefully.
